Get rid of old computers, VCRs, TVs April 19 at Rice
In honor of Earth Day, the Rice campus will serve as a community-wide collection site for computers, TVs, VCRs, printers, phones, stereos and other unwanted electronics Saturday, April 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Houston-area residents can drop off these items for free e-waste recycling near Rice Stadium by using the entrance on Rice Boulevard at Whitley Street. Sony Electronics and Waste Management Recycle America are picking up the tab, and recyclers will receive a special Earth Day admission coupon to the Houston Zoo.
