The Shell Center for Sustainability has unveiled a new logo to help it get its message out to the wider community. The winning design was developed by Marie Cole, a student of graphic design at the Art Institute of Houston.
Through a partnership with the Art Institute of Houston, the Shell Center worked with a team of 14 graphic design students to develop a new graphic identity. Associate Director Lilibeth Andre said, "The project required incorporating the mission, objectives and current identity of the center in an image that would visually communicate these to the public."
With a three-week turnaround and more than 30 creative and innovative final submissions to consider, Andre said selection of one logo was not an easy task.
Cole has also attended the Art Institute of Philadelphia and Art Institute of Washington, D.C. Asked what she planned to do next, Cole said, "I look forward to where the graphic design field will lead me, and every new and interesting challenge."
