Disability awareness training session set for Oct. 28

As a part of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, Fondren Library and Disability Support Services are sponsoring "Common Courtesy in the Workplace: Effective Interaction with People with Disabilities," an interactive training session presented by Kleo King, senior vice president of the Accessibility Services United Spinal Association. The session will be held Oct. 28 in Fondren Library's Kyle Morrow Room from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and will be repeated from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

The session will cover general disability etiquette and how to make the library and other spaces more accessible. Refreshments will be served.

Also on Oct. 28, Disability Support Services will be holding an adaptive technology open house at Fondren Library, Rooms 361 and 363, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
