Rice to host employers' forum

Employers from the Houston area will be on campus May 27 to attend a forum hosted by Rice and the U.S. Department of Labor.

The forum, which has been held at Rice since 2003, provides free 90-minute workshops to assist employers and answer questions regarding workplace laws administered by the Department of Labor. This is the seventh time Rice has co-hosted the event.

Russell Barnes, director of Equal Employment Opportunity Plan/Affirmative Action at Rice, is coordinating the forum with the Department of Labor's Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs for the 11 states in the Southwest and Rocky Mountain Region. The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Janice and Robert McNair Hall in Shell Auditorium and various classrooms.

Interested managers and administrators from Rice are welcome to attend.
