Dec. 3 symposium to connect health care and business worlds
Rice's Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business will host the symposium "Patient-Focused Health Care Management" from 2:30 to 6 p.m. Dec. 3 in the Anderson Family Commons, Janice and Robert McNair Hall.

By targeting clinicians, managers and executives in the health care industry, the symposium is intended to bring insights from the business world to health care organizations.
The symposium’s keynote presentations include:
• "Health Care 2.0: Internet and Health Care Delivery" by Rice's Paul Dholakia, the William S. Mackey Jr. and Verne F. Simons Associate Professor of Management
• "Health Care Reform: What Does it Mean for Physicians?" by Jones School alum Dr. Wayne Riley '02, president and CEO of Meharry Medical College
• "Patient Satisfaction: Improving Outcomes Strategically" by Rice's Vikas Mittal, the J. Hugh Liedtke Professor of Management
The event is sponsored by Texas Children’s Hospital, The Methodist Hospital, Memorial Hermann, Baylor College of Medicine, St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Renaissance Physician Organization, TRC Inc., Air Liquide Health Care and the Houston chapter of the American Marketing Association.
