Twenty-six Rice Owls earn C-USA Commissioner’s Medal
Cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher is required for this honor

Twenty-six Rice University Owls are among 321 student-athletes have earned the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal during the 2006-07 academic year, Commissioner Britton Banowsky announced today.

The medals are given to C-USA student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better.

Of the 26 Rice student athletes honored, 10 (Susie Barrows, Emily Braid, Jessica Cox, Blair DiSesa, Kyle Forrest, Jessica Fowler, Leah McKay, Brett Olson, Christine Petric and Alanna Rodgers) were honored for the second consecutive year.

The Owls earned 21 Commissioner's Academic Medals in 2005-06, their first year as a member of C-USA.
